Aucune \u00e9volution notable n&rsquo;a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e depuis 2011. Et encore, la version 2011 n&rsquo;\u00e9tait elle-m\u00eame qu&rsquo;une r\u00e9vision cosm\u00e9tique (en anglais \u00ab\u00a0refresh\u00a0\u00bb) de la version ITIL V3 publi\u00e9e en 2007. Cela fait donc dix ans que rien de vraiment nouveau n&rsquo;a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9. Mais justement le probl\u00e8me d&rsquo;ITIL c&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;il ne s&rsquo;agit aucunement d&rsquo;une m\u00e9thodologie. ITIL est un cadre de bonnes pratiques pour am\u00e9liorer les services informatiques d\u00e9livr\u00e9s aux m\u00e9tiers. Or, durant ces dix derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les Entreprises et leurs m\u00e9tiers ont subi une transformation radicale. Il est donc clair que leurs besoins de services informatiques ont \u00e9galement \u00e9norm\u00e9ment chang\u00e9. Les attentes des affaires sont tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes aujourd&rsquo;hui de ce qu&rsquo;elles \u00e9taient il y a dix ans. Les risques auxquels tout service TI est expos\u00e9 ont \u00e9galement \u00e9volu\u00e9. L&rsquo;environnement technologique a subi un bouleversement encore jamais vu auparavant.<\/p>\n<h2>L&rsquo;annonce faite par AXELOS<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Selon AXELOS, propri\u00e9taire du r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel, ITIL\u00ae est \u00abl&rsquo;approche la plus largement utilis\u00e9e pour la gestion des services informatiques dans le monde\u00bb. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 indique qu&rsquo;il existe des millions de praticiens d&rsquo;ITIL dans le monde. Elle indique \u00e9galement que le r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel est utilis\u00e9 par la majorit\u00e9 des grandes organisations pour g\u00e9rer leurs \u00a0op\u00e9rations informatiques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Il aurait donc \u00e9t\u00e9 naturel que l&rsquo;annonce d&rsquo;une mise \u00e0 jour d&rsquo;ITIL suscite de nombreux commentaires. Cependant, comme vous l&rsquo;avez s\u00fbrement constat\u00e9, tant la presse que les r\u00e9seaux sociaux ne s&rsquo;y sont gu\u00e8re int\u00e9ress\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La raison de ce manque d&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat est la raison m\u00eame pour laquelle AXELOS veut faire cette mise \u00e0 jour. ITIL a d\u00e9sormais atteint un point de non pertinence dans un monde \u00e9conomique dynamique et agile. L&rsquo;environnement \u00e9conomique est aujourd&rsquo;hui tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rent de celui dans lequel ITIL a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De nouveaux mod\u00e8les d&rsquo;architecture, de nouvelles approches de management et, plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, la transformation num\u00e9rique des organisations ont rel\u00e9gu\u00e9 ITIL au stade de relique du pass\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pourtant, des investissements substantiels ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par nombre d&rsquo;organisations dans le monde. Il s&rsquo;agit notamment de la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ab-consulting.fr\/blog\/it-sm\/itil\/itil-foundation-guide-de-survie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">certification de leurs collaborateurs<\/a>. Le grand nombre de fournisseurs de technologie qui ont vu le jour autour de ce framework et le vaste r\u00e9seau de consultants et de soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de formation qui ont b\u00e2ti leurs offres autour d&rsquo;ITIL sugg\u00e8rent que ce r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel ne dispara\u00eetra pas tranquillement du jour au lendemain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mais cette mise \u00e0 jour annonc\u00e9e sera-t-elle suffisante pour une renaissance d&rsquo;ITIL en 2018? Ou marquera-t-elle son dernier soupir?<\/p>\n<h2>ITIL est-il en core pertinent dans un monde qui change?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lors de l&rsquo;annonce faite \u00e0 ITSMF Fusion 2017, Margo Leach, Chef de produit chez AXELOS a admis la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de faire \u00e9voluer ITIL pour pouvoir s&rsquo;aligner sur un monde en pleine \u00e9volution tout en revendiquant sa pertinence au jour d&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>\u00ab\u00a0Les principes fondamentaux d&rsquo;ITIL sont valables et restent essentiels pour permettre aux entreprises de se transformer et d&rsquo;\u00e9voluer\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Leach. \u00ab\u00a0Mais nous devons ajouter un \u00e9l\u00e9ment suppl\u00e9mentaire au c\u0153ur d&rsquo;TIL: la rapidit\u00e9 de mise sur le march\u00e9 et l&rsquo;agilit\u00e9, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire la capacit\u00e9 d&rsquo;une entreprise \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux menaces commerciales, aux demandes et aux opportunit\u00e9s du march\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AXELOS a \u00e9galement reconnu que d&rsquo;autres approches, (DevOps, &#8230;) traitent d\u00e9j\u00e0 de ces probl\u00e8mes. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Le nouvel ITIL doit inclure des conseils pratiques et explicites sur la fa\u00e7on d&rsquo;int\u00e9grer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axelos.com\/itil-more-than-meets-the-i\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">les principes des nouvelles m\u00e9thodes de travail contemporaines<\/a><\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Margo Leach.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L&rsquo;\u00e9volution rapide des technologies bas\u00e9es sur le cloud, les nouvelles approches telles que DevOps et l&rsquo;enracinement des m\u00e9thodologies agiles ont remis en question bon nombre de m\u00e9thodes, apparemment rigides et bureaucratiques, souvent associ\u00e9es \u00e0 ITIL.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En cons\u00e9quence, et en d\u00e9pit de leurs investissements importants dans le r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel sous la forme de formation et d&rsquo;outils, de nombreuses Organisations mettent maintenant l&rsquo;accent sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&rsquo;investissement futur sur de nouveaux cadres plus pertinents.<\/p>\n<h3>Alors n&rsquo;est-il pas trop tard pour un nouvel ITIL?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La mise \u00e0 jour d&rsquo;ITIL ne devrait donc pas surprendre. M\u00eame si l&rsquo;\u00e9diteur a affirm\u00e9 il y a plusieurs ann\u00e9es qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y aurait plus d&rsquo;autres mises \u00e0 jour. N\u00e9anmoins, le manque de pertinence per\u00e7u s&rsquo;est \u00e9galement traduit par la perte de position dominante comme en t\u00e9moigne l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e d&rsquo;une approche de gestion de service et d&rsquo;un programme de certification concurrents, appel\u00e9 VeriSM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">VeriSM pr\u00e9tend \u00e9galement repr\u00e9senter une approche moderne de \u00abGestion des services pour l&rsquo;\u00e8re num\u00e9rique\u00bb. Le nombre de leaders de l&rsquo;industrie et d&rsquo;organisations qui le soutiennent est \u00e9loquent. A tout le moins, c&rsquo;est la reconnaissance \u00e9vidente par l&rsquo;industrie que le domaine traditionnel de la gestion des services est en train de perdre son sens original et risque de ne plus \u00eatre pertinent.<\/p>\n<h2>La transformation digitale entra\u00eene un changement d&rsquo;orientation<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ce que je crains, c&rsquo;est que la prochaine mise \u00e0 jour ITIL et la nouvelle approche VeriSM passent \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de ce qui se passe r\u00e9ellement. A mon sens, la transformation num\u00e9rique ne concerne pas vraiment la technologie ni son utilisation particuli\u00e8re. Il s&rsquo;agit de la transformation des mod\u00e8les d&rsquo;affaires et d&rsquo;op\u00e9rations. Cela se traduit par un transfert fondamental de pouvoir de l&rsquo;Entreprise vers le Client. En d&rsquo;autres termes il ne s&rsquo;agit pas d&rsquo;une transformation technologique. Il s&rsquo;agit plut\u00f4t d&rsquo;une transformation de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En tant que tel, le paradigme organisationnel de l&rsquo;organisation doit passer de l&rsquo;optimisation et de l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience client et \u00e0 facilitation pour l&rsquo;utilisateur tout au long de son parcours. Le probl\u00e8me est que l&rsquo;accent principal, tant pour ITIL que pour la gestion des services au sein des organisations, est enti\u00e8rement bas\u00e9 sur l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 et l&rsquo;optimisation des op\u00e9rations (informatiques ou autres).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De plus, les adoptions de la gestion des services TI sont largement bas\u00e9es sur des processus lin\u00e9aires. A l&rsquo;oppos\u00e9, le monde libre-service et centr\u00e9 sur le client cr\u00e9e une abondance d&rsquo;interactions client asynchrones et asym\u00e9triques avec l&rsquo;organisation et la technologie qui doit les supporter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le r\u00e9sultat net est un cadre de bonnes pratiques de plus en plus d\u00e9connect\u00e9 des besoins r\u00e9els des Entreprises qu&rsquo;il soutient.\u00a0C&rsquo;est d&rsquo;ailleurs aussi le cas pour un secteur industriel tout entier.<\/p>\n<h2>Y a-t-il un avenir pour ITIL?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Je rencontre quotidiennement des dirigeants d&rsquo;entreprises et des DSI. Nous discutons des d\u00e9fis auxquels ils sont confront\u00e9s et des strat\u00e9gies qu&rsquo;ils utilisent pour y r\u00e9pondre. L&rsquo;accent est alors syst\u00e9matiquement mis sur l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 et l&rsquo;optimisation. Ce sont l\u00e0 les facteurs de valeur traditionnels de la gestion des services informatiques (ITSM).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mais la priorit\u00e9 est aujourd&rsquo;hui ailleurs. C&rsquo;est l&rsquo;agilit\u00e9, l&rsquo;adaptabilit\u00e9 et l&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration de l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience client qui sont la cl\u00e9 des affaires en 2018. L&rsquo;objectif pour toute Organisation est de cr\u00e9er un avantage comp\u00e9titif sur le march\u00e9. Ce sont l\u00e0 des moteurs qu&rsquo;AXELOS a correctement identifi\u00e9s. L&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 demeure bien s\u00fbr une pr\u00e9occupation quotidienne. Pour ce faire, les entreprises se tournent de plus en plus vers les services et l&rsquo;automatisation bas\u00e9s sur le cloud pour optimiser leurs op\u00e9rations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ITIL, VeriSM ou tout autre cadre ou approche de gestion de service souhaite reste pertinent? Alors leur objectif doit \u00eatre la prise en compte des nouvelles priorit\u00e9s des Organisations. Leur axe principal doit donc \u00eatre de r\u00e9orienter les organisations vers l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience client et de les \u00e9loigner des mod\u00e8les centr\u00e9s sur les syst\u00e8mes ou centr\u00e9s sur le service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les praticiens de la gestion des services IT vous diront que cela a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 l&rsquo;objectif principal. Je ne les contredis pas. Mais il est temps de reconna\u00eetre que, dans la pratique, ce n&rsquo;est pas ce qui s&rsquo;est pass\u00e9. Si ITIL doit rester pertinent en 2018, cela doit changer radicalement. Il n&rsquo;y aura d&rsquo;avenir pour ITIL qu&rsquo;\u00e0 cette condition.<\/p>\n<p>Vous avez s\u00fbrement un avis.
